ptjn1201 I had a great 3 wood that finally cracked, and then a 4 wood that was terrific for me.
😄 I did have a great 2 wood, but it somehow came into a disconnect disagreement with a very hard tree one day in Peoria, circa '75.
I had to quit playing in '77/78 due to financial considerations, and loss of job. I never touched a club again until around '99 or after. When I went to find some clubs, I just got an old set, complete, of Wilson 1200 from a thrift store for a few bucks. I went straight out and shot the same score as I had shot the last round, 21+ yrs. earlier. I was hooked again, and wanted newer toys. I was dumbfounded when I saw the size of the driver heads at that time, 300/330cc.. I didn't hit them very well, but did stay with using them thru all the slices and other nasties. It's paid off now, I guess. Live, learn. I don't even know if I could hit a 45" driver today; even as 'diminished' as my height is, it seems too short when holding one.
