Insurance is a big reason to have a job, any job that offers medical/dental.
When I do retire from this job (I work 100% remote from Pinehurst, NC, so I am not complaining), I plan to get a part time job somewhere where I can work 3 days a week for a while. I am still pretty young at 50, so I cannot get onto Medicare anytime soon, so knowing that health insurance is likely around $1k a month (or more) for the two of us, that is a good enough reason to keep working at least a minimal job.
Hell, working at a small, local ACE or True Value hardware store would be fine with me. I did it as a student in high school and college.
