Clock Ferrule

Wanted to experiment with a clock ferrule to make a driver head sit more closed.

So the ferrule only gets seated about 3/4 of an inch down the hosel... so I only reamed that far down.

But then I started thinking maybe it's designed to only work if I ream to the bottom of the hosel to let the .335 shaft shift into a spot, rather that be centered.

Hopefully that makes sense. Any thoughts/experience ?

The ones I've used are designed to put a .335 into a .350 head. That's how they get the extra room. And they have a tongue that extends down to fill the side with the gap.

So if you are using a .335 head, then I expect you'd have to ream it out a bit at the bottom of the bore.
