LBlack14 Par4QC If you will notice, they do not know how... I told Beck that. I said they tried, but failed, miserably. Nice to see you guys echoing Exactly what I pointed out to her.
Par4QC LBlack14 I've made a couple of those same miter mistakes in my life(only a couple 🤣 ), and had to run get another 8' board because of that 1/2".
PA-PLAYA Going with the same thoughts as most everyone else. That looks like a really nice garage door, and it would've taken all of what - maybe 5 extra minutes to have those corner angles mitered? Still looks nice overall don't get me wrong. Just that like you - I would've expected it done professionally, not half-assed with the trim detail.
Par4QC PA-PLAYA and it would've taken all of what - maybe 5 extra minutes to have those corner angles mitered? If they had caulked it, no one would have noticed.
ptjn1201 It looks like I did it. But I'd've filled in all those cracks with caulk, at the very least. And I don't expect to do a perfect job with the equipment I have and what I'm paying myself. But when doing it yourself, you decide how many times you want to redo something. No excuses from a pro.
darpar It's an easy fix,the overlapping piece should've been mitered to cover up the gap, caulking is just a bandaid.
LBlack14 sdandrea1 Shoddy finishing work. Trim You mean them, not me, I hope.😁 I have a mitre saw, but I'm not gonna fix it.
FauxAmish LBlack14 Nor should you Son. They should have mitered, used a simple coping saw, and caulked. It only takes a small amount of time to do a proper job. It takes forever to make up for carelessness.
sdandrea1 LBlack14 You mean them, not me, I hope.😁 I have a mitre saw, but I'm not gonna fix it. Absolutely. They did not finish the fucking job. That's amateur quality.
Rickochet pellmell The old adage holds true, measure twice cut once. Another old adage is don't pay until it is done right.
raggmann54 I suck at that kind of work and I could have done a better job than that. Looks like they let the new guy finish the trim work...
