I can definitively say, if I’m hungry, I’m useless. Once I’m hot and run out of hydration, useless. If I’m not playing with a purpose, useless. So yeah, focus is literally the difference between me having a shot at shooting in the 70s or the 90+ range. That sounds crazy to have that big of a difference, but the worst part of high club head speed is amplified mistakes. When you hit bombs, in the right place, ohhh ahhhh, when you miss by very little, but at a high rate of speed and spin, ewww gross.
Ex. Last year, 2 different occasions, showed up to play, front 9, 50+. Stopped for a sandwich and a drink, 38,39 for the back 9. What a difference just having proper blood sugar levels can make.
