Yep, that's my reality. I just was under the illusion that my SS might be in the 80s. Hahahaha........

I'm still proud of most of my scores and my local reputation as a short game scrambler.

No shame in a shorter game. I remember when I used to hit the long ball years ago, the old men used to tell me I was gonna hurt myself swinging so hard. Then they promptly whooped my ass with 160 down the middle.........

I SAY my swing speed is in the 80's.....that's what it WAS the last time I was on a launch monitor. But I've learned to
adjust to that by playing the proper tees (for me) and stop measuring my distances on my GPS! Actually, ever
since I bought the Ping G, I have been getting a little more distance (hit a couple 205 today....WOW!). But,
from the senior tees, I still feel that I'm competitive with my golfing buddies. As long as you're in the fairway,
the most important shot is the approach, and of course chipping and putting. Your score is the most
important thing.....not how long you hit it!

Screw simulators. There is nothing close to a real launch monitor (Trackman or Flightscope). The best outdoor reasonable portable unit a Flightscope Mevo. The old tried and true swing Speed Radar is always accurate within 1 to 2 mph tested against a Trackman. Both use Doppler radar.

On SkyTrak I've heard from users that ball placement is the issue. Where you place the ball in relation to the laser dot is the issue.

Ball placement can have an effect on no reads, but I’ve never seen it affect speed. The issue with speeds is the clubhead speed is “calculated” off ball speed. I’ve seen some off on occasion, but it’s rare. I’ve compared my Skytrak against a Trackman at the range and can say I’ve got a solid unit. It matches up with my ball flights pretty consistently too. YMMV........
