gllama OK, here's a component head that goes way back in time and most probably won't remember it. When I first started building my own clubs, I put together a Mercury Humongous head (9.5*?) with a Mercury stiff shaft. That was an incredibly long combo.

One of my favorite heads (in 7°) with a 50" long drive shaft (I can't remember the name but it was purple and had a name like Longfellow or Long Tom something like that). It was kind of hard to control but if you had the patience to wait for the head and not get your hands in front, it really worked.

I had a 12° White Lightning with a Pro Force XL shaft that was money. It was stupid easy to hit it long. I regularly hit 300 with that combo.

In addition to the two above, if I go back farther, I had two great clubs. The first was a knockoff of the Callaway Gret Big Bertha. It was stainless steel an 240cc. The shaft was a new (at the time) shaft that supposedly had two flex points. I think they were from Pro Swing Golf. I hit my longest drive ever (324 yds.) at a 3 man tournament. The other, again I can't remember the name but it was a knockoff of a Yonex ADX 200 (all graphite) head and a no name graphite shaft. Regularly over 300 yards with that combo. I had a 3 wood the same that I could hit 270 yards.

The Bangenstein. I think it had a Limey shaft in it so It looked awesome too, and I hit a ton and so did everyone I let try it out. Never really knew where the ball was going (which was obviously my fault), but wherever it was going it was going a long, long way. Cooler heads prevailed and I let it go for something I could control, but man that club was fun to hit.

This is making me want something from Bang like a Big Bang but I know it’ll be shorter than what I have now so why bother.

Typhoon I hate those shiny faces. Had to send Spuzz my MY head just to get rid of it, a few years back. Also had some of the Bang hybrids, same face, meh.

I played it with an I drive shaft until I couldn't get the trajectory I wanted.
Reshafted with a gayass blue shaft and sent it off to a friend for free (for his son) in the USA who is a San Diego Chargers fan and he loved it, and still uses it. His son is a medic in the Army.

I never liked the mirror faces either.
One of the reasons I never got a purple SMT Nemesis or the first run of the Ashton X-1 as well.

I let one of the asst. pro's hit my Long Tom one time at my local track on hole #9 a 422yd par 4.
He crushed this thing and the ball wound up down by the NO CARTS sign about 40yds from the green.

darpar I saw some of those heads on Ebay this week, brand new. I had one but hated the shaft they had. Might grab a head to try with a more suitable shaft.

Par4QC I had no luck with the Blackbird shaft either.
