Just thinking... Because GS and Wishon have the weight ports, their bottom of bore to ground measurement is 1.25" instead of the much more common 1.0". I have a set with too much offset, where I would like to re-use the shafts but they are 0.25" too short for most of what I would find. Unless they are from GS. Not particularly interested in any of the Wishon ones for this particular build. And I don't want to extend the butts. I just want this set to play the same as before, but with less offset.
I didn't say low offset. Ideally I'd be looking at 3.0-4.0 mm in the 5 or 6 iron, and then decreasing from there. Just tossing this out to see if someone has something lying in the bottom drawer.
Or, with my piddling 75 MPH sweeper iron swing, what if I used common heads with 1.0 BBGM, and used a 0.25" spacer in the bottom of the bore so the set came out as before? The bore depth with the spacer would probably be 7/8ths instead of 9/8ths. I'm thinking that's not really a big deal in my case. Graphite 80 gram shafts.
Thoughts on both possibilities?
