HybridWood Curious, what were the specs on the plastic? Not that they are necessarily accurate, but it seems odd that so far the Buzzers are reporting receiving 1° open heads.

I looked all thru the trash can in my shop and could not find the wrapper. Sorry.

KCee If you actually want to sell it, I'll take it off your hands. 11* with slightly closed is ok by me. I was looking for a smaller 12* head so this sounds close enough. Plus it's fugly enough that it will irritate one of my golf buds when I outdrive him and his new SIM driver 🤣

LBlack14 Evidently, they're all 11° and 1° open. I tried getting lower loft.

The 10.5s anyway.

I want to like this driver. I've hit it really great. It feels good with impressive distance. Then I hit it really shitty with flare outs to the right. Just can't seem to be consistent with it. I think the shaft is not a good fit for me. So, I will pull the shaft and try something else, probably in regular flex.
I think the head is really solid, but the vertical grooves in my opinion haven't done much to keep the ball on line. I'm so far disappointed but willing to give it another go with a different shaft.

I can never get a disappointment from a brand new driver head that cheap. I may not like them, but no disappointments. And, I'll keep buying them when I can find them. Even if I do have 20 or more. 😂 I always carry 2 when I go out, and they are never the same 2, until all have had their shot.

Sounds like a shaft problem. I personally only use shafts that I know will work when trying out new stuff - sort of a control so I know if the head is good or not since I know the shaft is something that will work. From there, you can get a consistent hit and then see the launch/spin/distance of the new head and determine if it will work for you or not. The fact that you were bombing it at the range that first day suggests that you shouldn't give up on it just yet!

I think you're right, Basil. And I agree about selecting shafts that have worked well in the past. The frustrating thing is that I was hitting it so great on the range. I'll give it a few more times and if I'm still having problems, then I'll change shafts and give it another go.

No pretty much the same swing. The good day, bad day is what is maddening with this driver. Driving is the strength of my game and have really never had a driver that is so good one day, and so crappy the next time out. And, of course, it has to be the driver's fault and not my swing 🤣
Oh well, it's not like I don't have a dozen or more other drivers I can take out. This one might need a time out in a dark closet.

Its not your fault, the grooves are sideways, it imparts side spin

Typhoon NoNoNo...you got that backwards. Everyone knows, because the experts state, side spin comes from regular drivers, and the grooves are horizontal. If you move those grooves to vertical, It HAS to be the opposite, and the ball will only go straight! 😁
