Who's had this problem, especially a more mild form? For the moment, I have only self-diagnosed it. I'll need to get it looked at. This winter, after no specific thing that I can recall, I noticed discomfort when I would try to stretch my shoulder. I would put my hands on a door frame, with elbows at shoulder level (think "don't shoot") and then lean forward a little to do my stretch.
I had enough stuff going on over the winter that I put it on the back burner. Yesterday I made an overhand throw and the pain put me on my knees. This morning it's back to usual, as in it would be uncomfortable in the stretch I described. Probably a little more than usual.
Here's the thing. All winter I was able to golf. It didn't bother me while playing, or any time, as long as I wasn't putting my arm up or behind me. Now I wonder if golf is contributing to it, or maybe even the cause. I've read some articles that suggest that golf can cause it.
I don't have much to go on but it doesn't feel bad enough to be torn, I don't think. If you've had a tear, was it fairly obvious? What's your story?
