As others have said, I believe the key is to just not have any expectations lol. In my view, if the best players in the world mishit, miss fairways, shank chips etc, then how the hell can i expect anything different. I have a short memory on the course and generally don't let bad shots linger at all. I was laughing at myself last night on the back 9 because I was pretty well missing right with every single drive. I was laughing because since I put the last bad tee shot out of my mind, it never once occurred to me to start aiming in the left rough off the tee instead of down the middle. If I did that, all my drives would have found the right-side fairway or rough instead of OB right. Sorry to digress from your issue, once thing i have found helpful when my swing is really off is to just not think at all and just swing easy like I am laying up in the middle of a very wide fairway. Sometimes just doing the opposite and not thinking about anything brings back the proper tempo and the results are usually pretty good. Of course, for some reason I cannot repeat this swing either but it may work for a few holes š
