Ferrules

Where are you guys buying ferrules these days. I havn't had to buy any in several years. When Golfsmith was going out of business I picked up 2 100 packs of iron ferrules for $10 each. I was looking on Ebay and found some 100 qty for a little over $20. Is that good or is there someplace else I should be looking?

I usually just buy from golfworks- usually around $3 a dozen, a bit more if you want something fancier than black.

If you go thru a lot Grail Golf from a clubmakers standpoint quality and fit are #1. If a hobbyist order thru any of the on-line guys. Value, GW, Hireko, etal or eBay.

The best way for a hobbyist to buy ferrules is to get some added to an order with other golf stuff from one of the vendors like Value Golf. If you just buy a few dozen ferrule from them the shipping will be more than the cost of the ferrules. Ebay is the cheapest source. Grail seems to be one of the cheapest with a good selection. The downside with Grail is that they ship from Oregon which will go through the Chicago area and people are reporting some shipping delays coming from that area. Just poke around Ebay and you will come up with a bunch of sources.

Depends if you are in business or a hobbyist. Assuming most are hobbyists here so adding on to an order makes sense but for me as I am making a profit. I order 100's of ferrules at a time. Lasts me a few years normally. Last year I fit/built over 50+ iron sets. At 8-10 a crack that adds up very quickly. 😃

I agree. I was assuming the OP is a hobbyist and addressed my comment accordingly. For a business I guess you could go to Bohning and get them by the thousands.

I was messing around on Ebay late last night and came accross Grail Golfs Enay store. I ordered a 100 pack for $23. I am a hobbyist but get a bunch of my items from local purchases and do some reshafting of irons. I like having a decent quantity on hand so I don't have to think about ordering them with my other purchases. Glad to see the positive comments on here regarding Grail.
