Back home safe now. Stopped in Grenada, MS for lunch at a soul food restaurant called Crystal's Diner. We were the only white folks there, but happily welcomed and served highly delicious food. My black finished MT Pro-C 8-iron was delivered while I was gone. Just torched the shaft off of that, plus off my old favorite Turner driver head that cracked and went dead after four years of use. Going to put the Harmon Tour Design Counter Balanced Shaft from that in the new 11 degree Vertical Groove driver head purchase from LBlack14. The black MacGregor iron head is going in my chrome set that's getting regular graphite shafts to replace the stiff Dynamic Golds that even my son couldn't handle. Don't know what happened to the original 8-iron, but suspect my son may have left it greenside somewhere after chipping when he tried the set out for a couple of rounds. Going to play hooky from church tonight after the long day yesterday and 200 mile drive today and glue all the shafts in tonight.
Also going to play a round with the wife, son, and banker friend tomorrow. First round in at least 7 months I believe, so the rust will be heavy.
