Rickochet Put the egg in a bowl of water and if it sinks to the bottom and lays on it's side it is ok. If it sinks but sits on and end it is ok but not as fresh. A floater is bad. Anywho, just to be safe I tossed them. Eggs are going for about $4.99 per doz for grade a large here.
Use a glass. Drop in and if it floats back to top, it's bad. No matter how it sits on bottom, if it stays there it is good to go.
People bitching about egg prices everywhere. I just paid $6/dozen and never gave it a thought. .50/egg. 2-3 eggs make a meal with meat, potatoes, etc.. Cheap as hell if you ask me.
Of course there are the 'gouging areas' in the U.S. that are selling eggs for $10 or higher. Those people need killed.😄
