I read this subject almost everyday, never contribute to it but; well today...
This could be Typhoon worthy
Got up early for me, 6:45. Had a lab blood draw and other things.
Wife is hacking her head off, no work for her, Tend to her for a bit.
Got ready to go to Hospital lab for the vampires to draw more blood.
But had to move her car from behind mine, Her keys were in her purse, the 1 with 7 zippers.
Finally, after she gets up to get keys from somewhere in the confines of that purse.
I go move her car, cold as crap,, for here, about 25,,,Mind you this is Myrtle Beach. below 40 is Ice age time.
She had locked the front behind me, had to find her house key on the wad of crap she has. drop her keys, grab mine.
This was a "fasting blood test" No coffee, no breakfast bar. At Hospital, park 1/4 mile away, it's cold, my Plantar fasciitis on my heel picks today to reappear. Wait in line at registration desk, wonder down 3 hallways to get to the correct lab, another line. at least they were quick. Hmmm, I have time to go to the Chevy dealer and pick up the parts that came in.
Its only 2 blocks away, get there, Heel is on fire! the monkee behind the counter yells to a different monkee that I am at the counter. 5 minutes later, he shows up, tell him what I need. He mumbles something and disappears. 10 minutes later he come out with my 2 small parts.
Another victory!
I drive over to the other part of the hospital annex for my monthly visit to the urology clinic, YEA.
I am 40 minutes early. Why are doctors offices never happy? Your Early, Your late.. blah blah.. Knew I should have went for a quick bite.
I show up at 9:15 for a 10 am appt. Finally out of there at 11:25.
Drag my screaming heel thru the grocery store getting stuff only cause its Publix on Wednesday, xtra 5% for people our age on top of some of there screaming BOGO sales. IE: Sweetwater IPA, buy a 12 pk, get a free 12 pk, $20.49 free for me.
Get out of there, go to Walgreen's for SWBMO meds. Drive thru not working for med pickup, Have to walk again with bad leg thru cold to stand in another line. Finally make it home. Unload car from being out. Ahhhh, time for rest.
Nope, Neighbor next door calls and wants to know if I can check his car? Dude just came out of hospital after 2 weeks, He is really bad off and a great guy. OK.. Take code reader over and its a Code that says, " Faulty Throttle Actuator Control stuck OPEN". But this a Jeep, I know nothing about Jeeps, I am a Chevy guy. I poked around under this engine, cant find anything but plastic coverings. Told him the code it gave me and told him he needs to call his mechanic. It will need a tow, cause it wont go over 20mph.
Home but cold and with a sick wife.
Ya all stay warm and dry out there.
Sorry to ramble on. But been one of those daze,
