Had to take my 88 year old mother to MVD to turn in her license as she can't drive anymore (macular degeneration). She then got a picture ID. Amazes me that with all the renewals you can do online, they can't make it simpler for her do it online as well. I will say though, not having been there in a long time, the system is much better run that it used to be. You could be there half a day at one time. She was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The clerk was wonderful and it ended up being a pleasurable experience for my mother as she had been stressed out previously about it.
In an hour, I have to attend a wake for a high school chum who died unexpectedly at home less than a week ago. Great guy with a wonderful wife, who I went to school with too. Wow, 67 years old, way too young.
