Mattyv I have no clue as to what your field/profession is, although I assume is does come with very lucrative pay/benefits. Those must be the reasons why anyone would want to have a job where they have to answer to so many different higher ups.
I once had a really good factory job, until layoffs came around. I was low in senority(Union job), so I went out in the order I came in. Recall was for 5 yrs. and after that time, the company merged and was hiring again. I went and filled out the app and waited. I did get a call to go to an interview at a local hotel, which I thought was a bit odd. When I walked into the room, there were 4 people there to do the interview. Mentally, I was just shaking my head. Factory work, manual labor, although skilled, positions. I sat and listened to them, answered their questions, still shaking my head mentally. Those 4 people had no clue what went on in that factory, and I could tell from their questions. Back then we called it the 'Japanese Process' of hiring(circa '70s).
