Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Par4QC Got tubs of Elvis albums, but don't think I'll get rich from any of them. I've got a list and going to take it to some collectors to look at; not taking all those albums until I find if any are worth much.

Elvis albums aren't worth much simply because he sold so many. There are a few that are worth $50-$100 . Usually they are the movie soundtracks that were printed in small batches after their initial run and have different labels and numbers. Some collectors want everything so these can have some value. The Moody Blue album in black vinyl instead of the blue vinyl can be worth some money.
I collected Elvis albums as a kid and have been looking to sell them so I've learned a bit. Neither of us are getting rich. I've been too lazy to actually try to sell any but was just looking at them the other day.
Unless she had some original SUN singles, then you can join a country club.

I still remember an old guy saying that at a volleyball tournament we played in. I use that line all the time. I'm working on it with one artificial hip. We have guys in our basketball league that have two knee replacements and a hip or two.

Not following Drs orders?? I was told running/jogging was out. My newest hip bothers me when I walk, sometimes. A dull throb. I hate that they used 2 different kinds of hardware in both. 1st one doesn't bother me, at all, 2nd one sure does.😕

Just the original SUN singles which were basically just a local release in the south. They will get you about $4-5 grand apiece.

I thought I read that the kettle people here won't take cash anymore, just electronic pay? I rarely go anywhere they'd be so I haven't seen one but pretty sure my wife told me that.

garyt1957 Did not know that. the kettle guy at the Walmart near me just lean against the wall and do not ring the bell. Now I need to check. Not sure how they make the credit card work, the people do not have a handheld that I noticed.

I don't carry cash anymore unless doing large buy, cash is preferred here and no tax. Don't understand why it is so accepted here to avoid tax.

We had a QR code they could scan and donate through a PayPal or the like. I always have cash on me. Not much, but I've always got a few bucks. 99% of the donations were cash into the kettle.

WFH. Last workday of the year. Been a stressful week, but now looking forward to 2 weeks off with no plans whatsoever except to go to friends house on Christmas Eve and normal church activities. Looks like some warm days in the forecast next week, but the forecast is also for wet days. We'll see.

Played 18 with a buddy today. Didn't break 100 at all. Driver was going right all day. I started playing that. My best drive was on hole 14. 1st ball was OB right, my tee shot I managed to cut the corner, and end up about 50 yards off the green. I promptly put my approach shot into the bunker.
It was a good time.
After that I went to another friend's warehouse to finish polishing silver and cleaning up some things for tomorrow.
Tomorrow is celebration of life for boss lady, I get to help set up and tear down.

Today I'll be throwing wood at the lathe and see about making 30 Christmas ornaments and another 20 tomorrow. I just haven't been motivated to work on them this year.
Yet almost everyone lights up when I tell them I need to get back to work on them. I'll probably need to go buy more stainless wire for hooks tomorrow as well.
I should have gotten back to it yesterday, however I just fucked off and spent time with boss lady's sisters and family. I left last night with a full belly, and a full pizza. Now I need to become overly productive today.

Reading A Christmas Carol. The 1951 movie has long been my favorite, but I never actually read it as written by Charles Dickens. Only through the second spirit, but the movie made some significant additions to this point that enhanced the story IMO.

Getting ready to go to battle - the grocery store. Got to stock up for the holiday and what better day to do that than two days before Christmas? Shouldn’t be doing much else except perhaps cooking whatever good I find to make for tonight’s supper.

I finished reading A Christmas Carol. Always wondered about the narration. Dickens wrote it as if a spoken tale to an audience, so narration made sense. The movie is authentic except they added present and future segments for Scrooge’s fiancé Belle (I think the movie may have also changed her name) and changed her from having a large family to an old maid for some reason. They also added the housekeeper to his redemption scene at the end for humor. They substituted some general activities by relating them to the Cratchit’s. I suspect they did these things to reduce production expenses. They didn’t leave anything significant out.
