The results of the MRI's on my right foot show I have a completely torn tendon and a partially torn tendon. Basically said it's a mess in there. The surgery would be very involved and while he was explaining it I kept saying "I'm not going to do that."
He agreed saying if I was 39 instead of 69. He was surprised when he did some resistance tests on my foot that I had pretty good function. I have no static pain and I'm not limping anymore. He said there may be enough scar tissue holding it together etc..
The question is if I can golf and will it hold up. Have not tried swinging a club yet. He gave me a a soft lace up brace I can wear to try and play golf. Think I'm going to be conservative and give it more time.
On a side note: Gotta love modern day assembly line medical care. When I made my appointment there were two available at 2:45. I said I'll take one. lol When he comes in he looks at my MRI results of my ankle and asked if that's the only one I had?
I said no you ordered two. One for the ankle and one for the foot. He said let me go take a look at that one. π Then comes back in and tells me about the torn tendons. Going back in 3 months.
If it doesn't hold up golfing, that'll be it for golfing for me.
