Today, I went and fed the neighbor's cats, played with the little kitten. Then I went and figured out why my little trailer didn't have tail lights. Brake and turn, but no tail lights. Turned out the wire for the tail lights was crushed, and not making contact. Cut, and reconnect now I have tail lights.
