Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Two mediation prep calls and a mediation session on PST (start at noon). People have conflicts in California too (I thought they were all peaceful folks out there like @Walterjn). 😉🙏

Only marginally worse. A fired employee trying to get their job back. Matter was settled amicably.

Work. Was allowed to leave work for a few hours to bag food for Catholic Charities on behalf of the company. It was nice because they gave us inside work instead of the normal warehouse work. Temp has been in the high 90s all afternoon. Got home and found out the city shattered glass from the door I left on the curb for collection. Fortunately it was tempered glass and doesn’t have sharp edges. I swept up 90% of the million pieces out of the grass 🥵. Got potatoes baking in the oven and going to grill a few of those tiny grocery store fillets for supper.

Years ago I had something similar happen. I put about 20 replacement windows in my house and put the old storm windows out on the curb with the frames stacked for the pre-trash day pickers and the window glass in a flat stack. The pickers somehow managed to take the metal and almost all of the glass was laying in a pile broken. It was not tempered and I had shards everywhere. 🤬

Hung out with Archie, went to Sanford CC to get some golf in and to try the new wedges. Nice. Walked 18 and wish I had put the 52 wedge in the car as that yardage kept coming up. Home with Archie in the basement (90 degrees out there) enjoying a Stone Face IPA...great beverage.

We had those shitheads at Trop… get their job back and then a week later goes out on Disability.

That sounds extremely scary for the next lawn mow. I'm a little worried about it with whatever is left in the grass that I couldn't get up, but at least it's not sharp.

About to go water plants. Was holding off due to a cold front sweeping through. Looked like we were in for quite a bit of rain, but barely got wet. No violent weather at least.

Today I'm staining my front steps. That side of the house gets direct sun all day so if course it's sunny and hot. I'm beating the heat by taking frequent breaks in my basement.
Tomorrow I'm attending a golf tournament that funds a scholarship fund that is organized by my wife's newish employer.

fatshot Sorry to hear that. I haven't got to play, but I suspect I could get 30 - 50 yard rollouts around here with the driver. The ground is hard and dry..

A friend and I are planning on visiting boss lady in the hospital.
My friend has a little ptsd, as she puts it, from that place. She lost her husband to cancer there a few years ago, so I'll be helping her with that. She'll be helping me with the fact that boss lady has liver cancer and it's not looking good.
She got a heavy dose of chemo yesterday, and she's not talking much, and sleeping a lot....

Walterjn Sorry to hear about the boss lady. Since you’ve been here I can tell she is more of a “boss lady” to you and vice versa. Keeping you both in my thoughts

Working two ways. Took 1/2 days vacation for today and the next two work days. Attending online meetings as needed, spending the rest of my time tearing out dried out and in some cases rotted fascia and soffits on the exterior of the house and replacing with good wood in preparation to re-paint the house. The meetings serve as cooling off breaks. Won't be much else going on for several days except to go to church. 61 year old man's arm and shoulder doesn't swing a hammer with the power and efficiency of the younger man driving 10 penny nails. Fortunately most of it is trim work and I can use the fancy cordless nailer I bought a couple of weeks ago..
