Working from home today so I can play nurse to the wife.
Yesterday I brought her to hospital 6:15AM for 3rd foot surgery. Came back home cleaned up the house. She was done by 9:30 and I picked her up at 11. We're in the car and I'm ready to head home and we realize she still has a catheter in her hand 😮 Thought about just pulling it out, but I have no bandaids in my car so I go back inside and have to get the nurse to come back. Meanwhile my wife, still feeling the anesthesia, has pulled out the catheter and is bleeding everywhere. Apparently surgery went great; I'm no so sure about post op though lol. Still need to clean the blood from my car.
On way home she wants Diet Coke from McDonalds. According to her its the best Diet Coke. So we go and of course we need french fries too (mostly for me). At the window I get a small instead of large of some soda that is maybe Sprite and 4 burgers instead of fries. Not even close. I can't complain because if a hospital screwed up what hope do I have at McD's?
I get her situated at home and made a Costco run because I found out early yesterday my youngest is dropping out of school and coming home, so I need food. She is skinny but eats a lot. Wife is still high and telling her it's ok, but I dunno it would have been nice if she dropped out before the 2nd semester was paid for? I can't say too much here either as I dropped out after my sophomore year. Hopefully she'll go back and finish school like I did. After I buy a ton of food, she tells me she may wait to come home because there is an Anime Con in Boston next week she wants to go to 😡.....some days it seems like everyone is just screwing with you lol.
