It had been probably a year or so since I last logged in to THP, so I did earlier today. I thanked some people, interacted with others and shortly after that I received an email stating that, “The THP Forum is consumer only outside of our sponsoring partners. While we allow all companies to post in their review threads, to answer questions, that is the only access given”.
The thread I interacted with some folks on is about DTC companies and you get a very clear indication on what THP members think about DTC companies, especially after a golf company called Caley Golf got caught with their pants down and some lies about some of their equipment.
How they run their forum is totally up to them obviously and I get that and appreciate that there has to be rules, but when I can’t even go in and try and help educate people and provide my feedback (basically defending me as a DTC), it’s tough to swallow. According to them, “we will do our best to educate them through our knowledge base. If someone disagrees with our information, that is okay too. We get it from years of work in the golf industry as well as having some of the brightest R&D minds from every company in golf at our disposal to help assist”. I also have a difficult time digesting that statement.
I’m going to go double up on some of my meds now. 😐😂😊
