Need to make a rare office visit today to work on something in the lab. Otherwise, just a normal day of work. Enjoying a mostly pain free existence right now that I hope is related to dietary changes. I've always heard that sugars, other high carb. foods, and red meat cause inflammation, but never really noticed that in my own life when experimenting with such things before. After my cardiologist yelled at me a couple of weeks ago I'm back at trying to make a lifestyle change for about the fifth time (my willpower sucks) and I've noticed that my knee and my lower back are feeling much better. I injured my knee at Easter time this year and thinking it was a sprain I never looked into it, but the pain never really went away. My lower back has been giving me pain associated with walking any real distance more than a couple hundred yards. Both pains have moderated considerably within the past week and the knee pain is almost completely gone. Perhaps my willpower will be bolstered by the incentive to keep the pain at bay this time.
