sdandrea1 Redskins pick a defensive tackle. Their rookie QB still has nobody to protect him,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Typhoon I ordered a new carb for the little dirt bike. Hasn’t been running for a couple years so instead of attempting to clean it, I thought I’d replace it. I’ve never taken one out/apart before. YouTube helped me through. Got it out. The oem I got with the correct part number ... wrong. Apparently they should have asked me the carb# on the side because there were 2 types, same part# depending on the carb#. I had to figure that out on my own after I was like “why the fuck doesn’t the throttle cable go in. So tomorrow I’ll work on returning the eBay one and calling a couple Honda places around here and picking up the correct one.
PA-PLAYA Typhoon YouTube has been a great resource for me with numerous projects over the past few years. Especially simple but not-so-simple stuff like replacing water faucet parts, repairing water-damaged ceiling drywall and refinishing, recoding garage door openers, etc. Sometimes you gotta spend an hour to find exactly what you're looking for, but it's worth it to avoid the aggravation.
PA-PLAYA darpar It's got some good entertainment value as well if the comment section is open. There is ALWAYS someone who knows a better way to do whatever task that somebody else posted, but they never post their own videos to show how better they do it. lol Years ago I watched a guitar lesson done by Eric Clapton on YouTube. Yep. A few in the comment section know more about playing blues riffs than Eric freakin Clapton.
garyt1957 Typhoon I like that net Kevin, is it easy to set up? I’m thinking if this shit keeps up I’m going to need something for the yard that’s easy up and down. Looked on their website, sold out anyway Nets and push carts have to be the hottest things in golf right now.
Sparky The SoCal courses are just starting to open up....so of course an urgent work assignment comes in which will likely keep me off the links for another month. Maybe I can sneak off for a sanity check round here or there.
SVonhof NorCal courses are re-opening as well. A few never closed and were packed but I have not been on the course since Feb 28 and I likely won't make it on anytime soon either. Lingering lower back "sprain" that I am working on getting under control is going to hamper getting out for now. We have a WebEx with our golf league directors at 9:45 this morning and we are going to make decisions on what to do about past tournaments that we were not allowed to play and the upcoming schedule as well.
Typhoon Boxing up the carb to send back. Called a local Honda shop and they knew about the proper carb number. $30 more but whatever. Got my workout in, painted the kitchen with my wife ( and we’re still talking). Next up is working one one solar light, making a driving net set up for the garage and mixing a drink. Maybe play some piano
Rickochet LBlack14 Killing pain. Me too. Back has been out for weeks. Chiro's finally reopening here on Mon.
scotts33 ode it was nice up hear, inland at least , got over 50 with little wind. How'd you hit em? Monona City of Madison 9 hole 3000 yard Whites muni $13/walking. Great shape for this time of year, Shannon the greenskeeper/maintenance has done a good job getting 'er ready. Felt great getting to walk n the green grass rather than pavement that I have been doing. Louisville Classic 50 blades shined had some left misses as my grip has been getting stronger (working off season late winter/early spring with Impact Snap)....did some grip adjustments going to more neutral position and hit some nice draws. Overall just great to get out with some other duffers and have a couple of beers in the parking lot afterwards. No one seemed to have any issues playing keeping 6' social distancing, etc. Doing the same this weekend. Try a few other clubs and maybe putt face-on. How about you Chad?
Rickochet colej mine never closed down here.... Even though the feds had chiro on the "essential services" list our Gov. shut ours down.
colej Rickochet people can say what they want about chiropractic care but it’s kept me from getting surgery on my low back. They are doctors and essential IMO
mikeintopeka scotts33 Overall just great to get out with some other duffers and have a couple of beers in the parking lot afterward The GM of our private club found some members (8 golfers) doing the same in the parking lot post-round. He read them the riot act that if they would have been seen by the health czar, not only would the course be shuttered, but they'd be used as justification to shut down all the areas courses. I assume they were 'kind-of' paying attention to the 6-foot social distancing. Then the GM sent out an email notice to all members that socializing on club property was forbidden until the sanctions are lifted.
Typhoon scotts33 Nice to hear you got out Scott. Good for the soul. Man, I need bigger keys on the keyboard!
ode scotts33 cheers to that....felt great being out. Got 18 in at my home course. Drive it good after warm, putted good with the putter I bought of @colej , this one- https://www.golfworks.com/maltby-pure-track-tour-milled-putters/p/ma0281/ Have putted with a mallet or mallet like now for seems like forever ....so the blade putter is weird to look down at, but I am able to hit my line really well with this putter......it's heavy (for a blade) which I like. Still super impressed with Acer XV Pro....nice players type CB with plenty of forgiveness on short $...with enough bounce for a steep swinger. The rest of my game was average, passable. Tendency was to dip down and hit fat....when i concentrate on keeping my level contact was good enough. Gotta love the tailgate idea.....never even thought of that, but why not!
