Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Some pics from our Mustang cruise today. Ate lunch in a small town called St. Jo, TX. We might have accidentally exceeded posted speed limits a few times.

Double cut the yard, trimmed and blew everything. Did a test run on the pool and gazebo, with 50/50 pool shock mix. It works well, especially on the wood.
My oldest grandson lives with me, now, until he starts at UC. We're having a graduation party for him, tomorrow. Gonna be a bunch of freeloading, strangers, here. I need to go on a long drive and buy something.

Today, I got to help remove an insulated room in a friend's garage. Her hoa lost its mind on her, and told her she needs to remove it by July 3/4.
I got to help, and play "electrician". Pretty much cut the power in with the circuit breakers, and then disassemble the wiring up to the point that the romex went into the ceiling.

We went there during Patriots Day weekend in 1997. Stayed at the Double Tree Hotel on Goat Island. Gave us free chocolate chip cookies when we checked in. lol

Remember eating dinner at the Chart House. Also awhile earlier they had filmed the movie Armistad right there in Newport. Talked with an employee at the hotel who spoke highly of Morgan Freeman.

And we had lunch at a local Bar / Restaurant and were told stories about Matthew McConaughey sitting at the bar and the women were all over him. lol

We also went and took a tour of the mansions. We went with my sister and her husband and there two kids. Nice memorable long weekend.

Work. Just got a request to stop by the grocery store on the way home. Will be grilling burgers for supper tonight. Temp is beautiful today - high of 81. I assume the humidity is comparably low.

In the process of repairing (?) my John Deere LT 190 lawm tractor. Had it for 24 years. I think it blew a head gasket. It's an 18 HP Kawasaki V Twin engine. What a job of just getting to the point of removing the heads. Maybe still tonight. Good thing phones have cameras. In the mean time my robot mower is hard at work. Even mowed my yard twice while I was in California.
The app for the mower says i have 1.1 acres mapped for mowing.

Sneakylong Well today this is the view…. WTF… we paid extra to have a walkout room to sit out and enjoy the view. Wide is ready to fight them at the front desk. Definitely NOT paying for this

Playing a charity scramble at a high end private club today. Should be interesting with 3 golfers a lot worse than me but my neighbors credit union is paying and the weather is perfect.

Working from home. Currently also helping my son change the oil on the 4Runner. He's doing most of the work this time though. Going to mow the front lawn this evening and cut a few hanging limbs off of trees and drag them to the curb for pickup.

Just talked to the manager as the 85” TVs now completely block any view. Got the $645 night comped as well as dree dinner and drinks tonite for us and our friends.

Sr. moment. Put that stupid replaceable cartridge oil filter housing back on without inserting the filter cartridge and then filled with oil. Now I have to recover all of the oil, pull the housing back off, insert the cartridge, put the housing back on, put the oil back in.

jsippy73 What is ridiculous is that I changed both of the o-rings and then put it back in with the new filter sitting right there on the end of the driveway but didn't notice until after we filled it with oil. I actually had enough new oil to refill it again, so I'm just taking the oil we drained with all of the residue in it with the old oil to recycle. Cost an extra 30 bucks, but I didn't want to put it back in when I had more new.

raggmann54 this was inside the garage. It was unpermitted, and they posted about it online, and that caught someone's attention. Hoa in that neighborhood is horrible.
