Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Snowed this morning but it’s all gone. Just temps in the high 30’s, dreary and wet. Worked a bit this morning, 2 accounts, did 2 CrossFit classes, and 2 more accounts. Done by 1 pm. Working at the course at 3. Curious to see how many knuckleheads go out

Don’t make it to the gym today because it’s “Moron Day” on the roads. Jesus Christ…. You guys know what I mean, you never notice anything different while driving around and then you get that one day a month where it’s like WTF??? Woman in a Tesla in the left lane, puts her blinker on to cut across 3 lanes to get her exits. People driving 20 mph with nobody in front of them. People with the left blinker on pulling out and going straight…..

So I did some stores, 43 degrees again, was thinking of hitting the range but it’s cold

Typhoon I generally commute 3 days/week ~ 38 miles each way and seeing my mom on the weekends is 2 hour round trip and it's nuts. I spent about 5 years working on LI and I've been doing this commute through Hartford for about 10 years now so I'm pretty much dead inside to the chaos.

I used to get p*ssed off but nothing surprises me any more and I just don't react to it. If you want to do stupid things and even cut me off it's fine as long as you don't hit me. I'm numb to it all now.....except when the wife is in the car with me 🙄

Since I have to go in the office on Friday this week 😠 I am working from home today. At least I get to have The Masters on.

Getting sick of customers that spend hardly any $$ with us insisting on having me filling out various forms for Quality, etc so I'm charging them now. You give me a $100K PO I'll fill out your 6 to 30 page form for free, but otherwise NO. 😡

Somewhat different story with my wife’s company. Customers just want their product.

Her mentor was customer focused. But since her company merged the new company is more interested in process (dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s) rather than getting the customer their parts.

And now what’s bogging them down is trade compliance. What a shit show that is. You’d think once a customer gets verified and not selling to North Korea that would be it. lol

But nope. Got to deal with all this. When I was with AT&T 40 years ago it was a lot simpler. So wasn’t everything else. lol

Sneakylong The International customers can almost be easier. I don't mind those forms as they are usually a single page each...I sometimes still charge for those too lol. The Quality forms and others that US customers want are 6 to 30 pages. You basically fill out everything that is in your Quality manual but if you ask if you can just provide your Quality manual (its not proprietary) they say "no we need the form filled out". Sort of like when you go for a job interview and provide your resume and then have to put all the same stuff on a company form.

It's stupid you spend time and $$ getting Quality certs like AS9100 that you can provide but then that's not good enough. It's all about people here trying to justify their jobs with busy work. There's a lot less of that outside of the US. Europe does require a lot of stuff but that's because they want to keep International sellers out of Europe. We really should do the same if we want to keep foreign products out of the US. Tariffs are easier to pay than getting certifications and such.

Last night, 10:30 pm, I open the front door to take Sophie out and a sparrow flies into the house. Apparently, she's nesting in the wreath on our front door. Sophie loses her mind and is running all over the place. Wendy (the cat) on the other hand, is thinking we're the best parents on the planet. We got her A BIRD! She goes right into hunter/killer mode. We had to put her in the bedroom so we could catch the bird. She landed on the kitchen counter and I managed to throw a towel over her. Jeez.......

AS9100 is military isn’t it. They’re much stricter.

I remember when ISO 9000 came out in the ~ the late 1980’s. I was a systems tester with AT&T and if we got audited I’d have to go to where the quality docs were held and show them I was following protocols / procedures that were written by the engineer.

But even that can be taken too far. Production could be stopped because the instructions weren’t exactly what we might be doing.

So just the certificate of compliance isn’t enough?

Work and then driving down to the university to pick up my daughter so she can attend some musical show with my wife at another university tomorrow. No Masters for me today other than occasional checks of the scores on the ESPN app.

Sneakylong AS9100 is just the Aerospace version of ISO9000 and it is a bit stricter for some things.

The AS9100 cert should be enough for anyone asking about our QC but again some people like to make extra work to justify their jobs.

We have a few customers that almost never buy any new product. They just send back existing sensors for calibration. They send back stuff that was made when I was in high school and I will be 60 this year 🙄

Hit 2 accounts, played 9 with the 2 other pros and friends. Just had the new to me MC 7 iron and PW. Only 2 bad shots for where I tees the ball up from. Other than that, liking the new swing

New swing….. You never shot over par with the old swing. lol Seriously I get it. I shoot the same scores whether I have good ball striking or not.

I’ll take good ball striking over score any day. Score only mattered when I played competitive golf (quota game). Which I don’t play anymore.

Now my only quest is to hit the ball solid.

Another stress filled work week. Built up enough hours to leave at noon today. Played 18 with a buddy on a nice spring day. grabbed some gnocchi at the grocery store and made some alfredo for those little tater pastas to swim in with a little garlic, crushed red pepper and sharp cheddar for some Wisco flare🙃.....so good.

Sneakylong Haha… I’m always trying to get better, or make it easier. Some people just plod along everyday and blame it on the clubs.
End of last year I was researching “ground force “ mostly because I just wasn’t understanding how to do it. Late Fall I saw a TPI guy who explained it and it made sense. My last round of last year I only used a 6 iron and wedge and was amazed. I took swings over the winter at the gym and it was exactly what I was looking for.
What I noticed besides getting more ball speed is how I it gave me the weight shift I had gotten away from and how much better my swing looks on video. I also was able to stop flipping irons and hitting big hooks out of nowhere. Old swing wasn’t bad.. it just wasn’t right.

Today, gotta take the neighbors kids to work at 1 pm. It’s only a couple mile away, I’d tell them to walk but….. it’s not when I was young🙄😁😁

Other than that, maybe take some leaves down the hill behind the fence, go buy birdseed. I’m liking these weekends off from the golf course! Just been doing Tuesday and Thursday nights. TM fittings ramp up next week, probably have 2 a week…. Occasionally one on a weekend if I like the place. Maybe go somewhere for an outdoor beer later
