Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Worked. Stopped by Walmart on the way home and bought pork chops to make for supper, and some Alaskan fish fertilizer to feed the tomatoes I planted yesterday. Cooked supper, fertilized the tomatoes, and now looking at Golfbuzz (the authentic one).

WFH and waiting to hear if my youngest passed her driving test. 2nd time around. It took my oldest 2 tries so hopefully history repeats. I'm not nervous driving with my youngest any more but she gets too worked up about the test.

They definitely do test them more thoroughly than 44 years ago when I got my license. Tester had me drive a mile down the road, do a K turn and come back. I had been parallel parking the family truckster station wagon since I was 13 and ready to show what I could do with that little car! Oddly they don't even make them parallel park any more but that really isn't a needed skill in my neck of woods.

KCee I took my test in a small geo metro. Tester never even made me parallel park, although in that car I could put it anywhere.

Walterjn Yes I was in a tiny Dodge Omni or such. Less than half the size of the car I was taught to drive so I could fit that thing anywhere. Now I almost never parallel park and would probably need a tiny car to do it lol.

The DMV puts them through the paces now and I've heard they fail half the people the first time...I've also heard that's partly so they can get more $$ but who knows. My kid failed the first time and she admitted she was nervous and screwed up. This time the tester told her she was perfect until she made a left turn onto a 2-lane road and she turned into the right lane instead of the left one. Apparently they will let you get away with parking over the line a bit, but running a stop sign or making an incorrect turn is a fail. She plans to test again in a few weeks when she can get another appointment. Fingers crossed!

I took my test in a small city in rural Tennessee. I had to drive around the block and then park next to the curb (not parallel parking, just pulling up to an open curb). Pretty sure all the monitor did was verify that I put my seatbelt on, checked my mirrors, used turn signals, obeyed the speed limit, and parked a reasonable distance from the curb. Not much of a test, but I don't put much stock in the testing no matter how rigorous anyway.

KCee I learned to drive in an '86 Chevy suburban. Tested in the geo metro, much less than half the size.

Worked. Got home around 4:00. Been mowing the lawn but had to stop for a bit because my eyes are burning so bad I can hardly see. Took a Benadryl, put some Visine in them, and waiting for the burning to calm down a bit so I can finish the lawn. Always had sinus allergies, but have never had the burning eyes until recent years and it seems to be worsening with each passing year.

Finished the lawn. Waiting to see what the wife goes and picks up for supper. Then later need to make potato salad to take to a friend's house for Easter Dinner, and start a coconut poke cake for the family to have tomorrow night.

My seasonal allergies are worsening too. My doctor says she's noticed it trending upward since COVID. I've got to use a mask now. Flonase 2X/day helps.

Mowed for first time (not robotic) so I could roll my yard while it was soft from the rain.

Made the coconut poke cake and potato salad this morning after being too worn out last night. Making coffee now . Waiting for my daughter to wake up and then we’ll go up to the church and prepare communion trays for tomorrow’s service.

Typhoon WTF? Even I haven't mowed yet. And we've had rain and summer-like temps a lot lately.

My yard looks like shit from the dead crabgrass from last Fall. Plus the fact it is clay soil and moves up/down with the changing winter to warmer temps. I'm going to wait til it's dry, that may be 2 more weeks from the forecasts. Then get it rolled, so I don't break an ankle mowing this summer.
Might need a goat before I get to mow.

6X, after today.

Got up and went outside around 6, this morning. Big fucking cat scoping on the chickens, next door. I chase it off and surprise, surprise (not really)... dead chicken, from neglect, not gato. I'm pissed, after that. Got my new, electric backpack sprayer, mixed up some Spectracide and sprayed everything, flower beds, pine tree beds, honeysuckle and spot sprayed the yard. Had a fish sammy for brunch(🙄) then cut the yard twice. Weedeated, edged everything and blew off. Had a civil conversation with the neighbor about the chickens, they're illegals. Coop has to be 100ft from any property line. Shower, shave, some golf, DG for weekly crap and been sitting on my ass ever since. Tomorrow, grands and adult moochers. Beck's cookin'.

LBlack14 House around corner has a bunch of chickens, roosters, couple turkeys and a bunch of bunnies. The rooster tells all day…. Is it fuckin stupid? I thought it was a morning thing. We hear it but I actually like it…. Gives it that Midwest farm feeling.

Typhoon Roosters are strictly prohibited inside city limits. Hens only, 5 max, but the 100' rule for their coops and runs are a deal killer, inside City limits. They have a "coop" that's 4x4 at best. 1 day, and they're in mud/bare dirt. These people are blue haired, pig/hog/nose ring wearing types. She said he got a job working at a farm and now he thinks he's a farmer. I asked her if he worked at a gas station would he think he was a race car driver, no answer. She's a doll and a "scientist" for P&G, but lacks common sense. He's a fucking lazy ass, mooch. Buys a new rider, then cuts his grass, MAYBE, 1nce a month, maybe. Chickens gotta go. 👉

Went to look at a car out of my price range sorta just to keep the peace. Worst part was once I got in it it was like “crap this is really nice”. It was used and at a dealer but I hate when the sales guy knows nothing about the car because I had a few questions.
