Didn’t rain, just some mist so I played in the scramble. Took a friend of mine and we got paired up with 2 guys whose other 2 couldn’t make it. Or maybe they ran away.. 18 holes the 2 of them contributed one shot on a par 4 and one shot on a par 3. No ether guy could hit it 150 off the tee and most holes didn’t hit it far enough to make the fairway because their horrific swings produced waist high weak shots.
One hole in particular was a par 5 dogleg left. My tee shot was in the left rough. second shot need to be just punched out to the right not more than 80 yards to give us an angle in. I’m thinking I see an opening at the top of the trees to get it over the corner with an 8 iron if we can get a safe one out there. I tell my buddy to hold off, let them hit first and then we both can try the opening. First guy doesn’t make the fairway… hits it 10 feet, next guy hits it 15 feet🙄. All day like that.
We ended up -7 in a tie for 3rd
