I've been working on getting my beastie running right again.
Last week when I got the new fuel pressue regulator in, I took a good look at the old one. I found some crap in it. When I was able to get that crap out, it was a clear sticky substance and some small squishy brown chunks. Kinda made me think of cork gasket material. The entire fuel system is tank, fuel lines, lift pump/ filters, high pressure injection pump. The only thing that might have cork gasket material might be the filters.
Today, I replaced both filters with new wix filters.
I pulled the fuel pressure regulator out, and made sure the new one was clear, and installed.
I took my baby for a drive and by the time I pulled over to turn around, she was purring nicely like she should be. Rail pressure is about 500 psi higher than I'd like to see right now. She's running well right now. I'll take her to the store tonight and see how she's doing after golf is over for the day.
Currently watching the ladies, and hoping Nelly flips the switch and catches Stark.
