Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Typhoon Didn’t you meet up with a friend a week or so ago at the driving range? How’d that go?

Wasn't a good day. Windy and my back was sore and legs wobbly. I hit one ball and necked it about 10 feet and almost fell down and quit. Not giving up yet. Back and legs will have to get better before I try again. The other three didn't do much better. It was supposed to be a fun day of at least some laughs. It turned out to just be depressing for everyone. Whoever said that golf was a game for all ages was stretching it a bit. ☹

Rickochet Sorry it was a bad day. Good that you’re going to give it another try. I think you’ll be fine. Just have to get used to the motion and balance again. The wind probably didn’t help either.

WFH today. My mom is staying with us this week and through the weekend as she has some struggles with early onset dementia and my brother, who lives close to her, is away on vacation.

Just had a good laugh watching my mom help my wife sort through a bunch of stuff. My dad was a huge pack rat and since the stroke my wife has become the same. My mom can't get her to get rid of anything and she looks at me and mouths "omg she's just like your father". 🤣

What's almost as funny is with the dementia my mom forgets that they just went through a pile and starts asking my wife again if she should keep or toss it and I just told my wife that if she asks 3X that's probably a sign to donate or throw it away lol.

Kev, I know the pack rat mentality very well. My 88 year old mom is so bad. Trying to get her to get rid of something is like pulling teeth. She has no use for these things, they are of no value and she would forget she even had them if they were gone, but will do battle to keep them. I used to engage her a bit more about it and she was supposedly on board with the removal of clutter, but I have backed off. Not worth the aggravation to me or her. I do leave her house and start getting rid of things at home. I won't ever become her. I give stuff away, put it on the curb or just throw it away.

USAF announced next (6th) Gen aircraft. F-47. Looks like an advanced drone they have been playing with, but F-47 will be "crewed", which leaves open 2-person cockpit. Not a fan of the designation, F-47. Still developing the next Bomber, so 2 major acquisitions while DOGE said USAF is next up. Should be interesting.

Side note, USAF is still working new engines on the greatest ever, B-52.

Might indicate coming to end for the F-35 development/production. Time to retire.

Typhoon I've been keeping notes with an eye on writing a sitcom, but "Kevin can f*ck himself" was already done.

Wife was sick last night as usual. This time maybe worse, she actually packed a hospital bag. She thought she had pancreatitis. Anyway this morning she felt a little better. I stayed home this morning because she was sick and then between 11-4 the install guys were coming to my parents place and I had to be there.

So this morning I stay home🙄….
I try to do some TM training but the link won’t work. I updated the laptop, that took over an hour. Then the wife comes in the kitchen, looks at me on the couch because I have her and the tv install …. She looks at me and mumbles, “nice day for you “ in her insinuating tone. I’m like, am I staying home for my health? I skipped the gym to stay home for her. 😔

So I left. Went to my indoor place, worked on my swing for a half hour and then got the call on eta for the install. Was at my parents house for that and rearranging furniture. Just got home… watching the Valspar🙄. I know what, 3 names on the leaderboard???

Just passed my 25th official military physical fitness test…getting too old for this shiz…I need a BEER

I now do the 20 meter HAMR shuttle thing instead of the run…a little easier for us old bass turds…but I still do the old school pushups & sit-ups

I used to compete regularly at Observed Trials, outdoor only and at the intermediate level. No insane pro level obstacles. Fun sport! The bikes are amazing machines. 185 pounds, water-cooled 2 strokes, hydraulic clutch and disc brakes. Smooooth power, tons of torque.
