We drove up to Chicago Sunday afternoon and came back yesterday. We attended my aunt's funeral. She and her husband took my Dad in after their mother died (my Dad was the baby in the family) and my Dad always was thankful for that. My Mom tried to honor that by trying to include her in family events after my Dad passed. So I felt I should be there so we went.
Almost all of my cousins were there, so it was nice to see all of them. My Mom is the last of the aunts/uncles on that side of the family, so there may only be one more time that we gather.
Not much planned for today. I'm thinking about a short bike ride (first on this year) and then mowing the lawn. I may do a little work around the yard after that, but then again, I may not. It's a beautiful day so I may just take advantage of being retired and do nothing!
