Took the day off yesterday....played Spring Valley CC .... wanted to check that box now for a few years as the same duo who designed Lawsonia Links designed SVCC. LL is my favorite course. SVCC did not disappoint, what a treat. Cool seeing similar design features but in a different setting. Some blind, semi/blind tee shots, perched greens with some significant slope, undulation/elevation change from tee to green. LL has massive greens with lots of slope, except for on the short par 4,s (SVCC greens were smaller like that). All that yet playable and 🥁 18$ to walk it!
Met my buddy for Rd. 2 up closer to home at a.course called Hilly Haven. Pretty setting, the course got better and better. Greens were over the top and pin placements were what I'd call greenskeepers revenge like.
