Well, I went around my little course 4x today. I started about 8:30 this morning. 1st time was solo, good thing as I really wanted to hit the new driver a few times. Not sure if it was the tail breeze, or I was just hitting it really well in the honeymoon phase.. My 1st swing I hooked it into a tree. My 2nd swing was about as close to a skyshot as possible, and it still went 220. My 3rd swing I still didn't hit it really well and it went 250, about 220-230 carry and the rest roll. Ball flight was high, and straight. Almost every time I hit it, the ball went straight and high. I'd really love to get it out on one of the larger courses and see if I can swing with abandon, just to see what happens. The direction the ball went in was on me, the fact that it went straight in that direction was fantastic.
I let a couple give it a few swings on my 2nd round, she wasn't hitting very well today. Her 1st swing topped the ball, her 2nd swing sent a low worm burner to the right, and it came back to the left and ended up in the center of the fairway with about 40 yards to the green.
He tried it in 6, the 260 yard hole set up at about 250. His 1st swing put him into the trees on the right, and back into an easy shot to the green. His 2nd shot was a low runner that went a solid 210.
Hopefully they order at least one driver from Kelly. I also gave them some of his 3 piece balls, some tees, and the label from a pack of tees. I've been trying to push the price point of the logicalone balls. Maybe I can get Kelly some more business, I'm trying...
