johnnydoom Last band trip for a couple of months. 220 mile drive to the state finals. Band doesn't play until after 9:00PM some time, so staying overnight and driving back home tomorrow. Hopeful for a top finish for the band - they've been doing well in the other competitions leading up to this. Going to plant some bulbs beneath a tree in the yard this morning before we go: Red Spider Lilies (fall blooming) and Snowdrops (winter blooming). Nothing else planned except hopefully a nap before starting the drive and finding an interesting place to eat supper around Jackson, MS. Son is coming home for the weekend to cat sit.

colej I was on the first shift of this huge concrete “mud mat” pour. It’s a very thick concrete pad with rebar that this building will sit on top of. The middle parts on the building are 3’ to a concrete footing. The edges are 5’ thick to the slab footing. The initial estimates are 5,600 yards of concrete. 5 concrete pump trucks going with one sitting on standby for emergency use. We had over 100 workers on site and the concrete company had 112 drivers bringing concrete. The first picture was from the highway about 2 miles away. Guy on the first shift sent me these as they were finishing up
Typhoon Pressure washed the house today😓 With The monster extension wand and a 12 foot folding ladder I was able to secure myself to the ladder and hit the peak. That wand has a lot of kick.

That wand has a lot of kick." I do that chore once a year, and hate it!! I usually do it on the hottest day of the summer so I don't mind getting wet. And you're right.....the wand does have a lot of kick!!!

Walterjn I went to Hansen Dam to pick up 6 horses. Then I went to a friend's place to finish up building a small day bed in place of the hide-a-bed couch. This is not the final form, after this next month, I will be adding a sliding section so that it will be able to sleep 2 people and still not interfere with walking around.

KCee Hopefully just a boring day in the office today. Got my youngest out of the hospital this weekend and brought her home from Boston. She is fine. She has a viral infection that's clearing up. She probably would have just felt like she had a cold, but because she got dehydrated it made things much worse. Unfortunately this was just a part of the story. Her older sister lives and works in Boston and went to be with her since we're a good 2 hours away. She stayed overnight with her and the next day while they were doing a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) my oldest kid was holding her sister's hand and passed out and hit her head on the floor. Nice concussion and now I have both my kids in the ER. She is back at her place with her boyfriend and doing well now too.
Typhoon KCee Jesus Christ….we live parallel lives. They were doing a spinal on your daughter with dehydration and an infection? Seems a bit over the top to me. Send in my doctor, she’ll tell her to eat less salt and send her home. She’ll tell her to buy a home spinal kit

In the end they said "she may not even need the anti-viral and will probably be 100% within a week". I guess thanks for being thorough?
darpar Replaced the kitchen sink...I HATE CRAWLING UNDER KITCHEN COUNTERS!🤬 The original sink was stained beyond repair,and butt ugly. The black composite sink goes with the granite much better and has more usable space than the old one. Had to use some darpar ingenuity to mount the new sink.
