Typhoon After picking up my MIL at rehab and back to assisted living we went to Starbucks. Then I went to the range again. I started my Superspeed over speed training a few weeks ago and it’s already showing an increase. From me ant playing I couldn’t reach the back fence that I used to clear. Now I’m back to clearing t again.
darpar Had to replace the second paddle switch from the left today when it made big popping noise. Kind of a PITA with having 6 switches jammed into one j-box.
KCee At work waiting to hear if I need to head to Boston. The freshman is in the hospital for the 2nd time this week. Not dehydrated any more, but she may have some sort of infection. Luckily her older sister lives there and is with her.
KCee LBlack14 Thank you 🙏 Her sister says she seems ok now, but I think if you come right back to the hospital after they release you then they want to do a lot of testing.
Walterjn I went to the Newbury Park barn, picked up 6 horses, then headed another 40-50 miles to Hansen Dam. Dropped them off, then took the trailer back to Newbury Park. Boss man had 6 more to take. He just needed to be able to ride and teach this morning, so I got to take 6 and make a few $$.
Sneakylong The usual fall Saturday. Dunkin’ run early (6:00 am). Run a few errands later this morning. Chick Fil A take out for lunch. Watch some college football and some golf. Capped off with a nice spaghetti dinner with a good sauce like Rao’s and some fresh sourdough bread from Publix. Finish with some Netflix. Very exciting day!😎 I would’ve done well in the military. Love a routine.😺
johnnydoom Last band trip for a couple of months. 220 mile drive to the state finals. Band doesn't play until after 9:00PM some time, so staying overnight and driving back home tomorrow. Hopeful for a top finish for the band - they've been doing well in the other competitions leading up to this. Going to plant some bulbs beneath a tree in the yard this morning before we go: Red Spider Lilies (fall blooming) and Snowdrops (winter blooming). Nothing else planned except hopefully a nap before starting the drive and finding an interesting place to eat supper around Jackson, MS. Son is coming home for the weekend to cat sit.
johnnydoom johnnydoom Last band trip for a couple of months. 220 mile drive to the state finals. Band doesn't play until after 9:00PM some time Ended up 6th place. They gave their best performance of the year, but the judging standards apparently are different at this competition.
colej I was on the first shift of this huge concrete “mud mat” pour. It’s a very thick concrete pad with rebar that this building will sit on top of. The middle parts on the building are 3’ to a concrete footing. The edges are 5’ thick to the slab footing. The initial estimates are 5,600 yards of concrete. 5 concrete pump trucks going with one sitting on standby for emergency use. We had over 100 workers on site and the concrete company had 112 drivers bringing concrete. The first picture was from the highway about 2 miles away. Guy on the first shift sent me these as they were finishing up
Typhoon Pressure washed the house today😓 With The monster extension wand and a 12 foot folding ladder I was able to secure myself to the ladder and hit the peak. That wand has a lot of kick.
fatshot Typhoon "Pressure washed the house today😓. With The monster extension wand and a 12 foot folding ladder I was able to secure myself to the ladder and hit the peak. That wand has a lot of kick." I do that chore once a year, and hate it!! I usually do it on the hottest day of the summer so I don't mind getting wet. And you're right.....the wand does have a lot of kick!!!
