Finished up my neighbors concrete patio. We didn’t tear his old patio out just added around it. I did grind it and resurfaced it. That filled I’m the holes and gave him a new broom finish on that part.
They wanted something different so I suggested acid staining it. It’s way cheaper than stamping concrete and sometimes stamped concrete (flagstone stamps) are very slick when wet. The broom finish gives you that safe traction
You can see that the old concrete with the topping really burned darker than all the new. I tried to convince him into darkening up everything around it but they said no. They liked it like this. Their patio furniture would go on those dark squares anyway.
