I picked up my wife from Pease air port this morning and got to hear about the complete shit show that she and her 2 sisters went through...and we all will continue to go through for while due to her mother's lack of any sense of financial stability during the last year or so.
I know that her mother was being scammed financially, had recently financed a home, auto, iPad and cellphone with little to nothing down and monthly payments. She had just started paying for her own arrangements, but that stopped when her bank told her she was being scammed and closed her account. Unbelievable.
