I have great luck by studying the Driver COG articles on mygolfspy.com. As a starting point you have to have a decent idea of what kind of COG has worked for you and what has not. Then you can look at the offerings since 2015 and try something that should be in your wheelhouse. I've had good results with the ones I've picked that way.
I realize that most people are not into the numbers like I am. 🙂
So another way to do it is to try two fairly opposite models. Like an F7 with low and back COG vs an M4 with high COG. One should definitely be better than the other, if you have any consistency in your strike.
