My wife somehow got it into her head that a juice/liquid fast is good for you (everything I have read since says that BS, but...). So, I said, "Hey, I want to support you, so I will do the fast with you. If it turns out to be healthy, I'll have won twice."
So, we fasted for 7 days, eating only liquid (I'm not sure why a smoothie wouldn't count as liquid, but it didn't). We only got to drink water and clear broths. For example, we would boil potatoes and tomatoes, strain out the solids, and just drink the broth. It was Hell!
On the last day my wife told me that we had to start back eating slowly and reintroduce solids through things like leafy greens and salad. I watched the clock count down to the end time and as soon as the time was up, I literally ran out the front door and down to the McDonalds about three blocks away. I had a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal with upsized fries and a Filet o' Fish on the side. Felt great and shitty at the same time.
