fatshot Thanks, I am going to look into that. Right now I'm using a spreadsheet. I'm trying to see which holes I do well on and which ones poorly on. Also I'm getting greens hit percentages for each approach club.
I've already found that I'm screwing up some of the easier holes for no good reason other than not being smart.
Getting older, I am more often in a position on a par 4 to either lay up, or go ahead and hit a long hybrid or wood. I really want to start recording my scores for both options and see if there is any benefit to playing safe. In Illinois I usually can go for it. Here the long holes have bunkering that has been causing me to lay up instead. But it's not helping, I don't think.
So this is a sub-hobby in my retirement golf, I guess.
