I'll start. Vertex AW on SK Fiber TT75R shaft. Cleveland Launcher HB 5W on UST 55 Gold R shaft.

Having had lots of experience with over length drivers, pay attention to the flex. My experience is that
stepping up a flex (to reg) may be needed or....great, slower tempo. YMMV. Oh, to keep your buddies off
your ass, make sure it is under 48" USGA. 😀

No problem there. I couldn't swing anything longer than 46". I'm not very sensitive to swingweight, so I'll figure out how to hit it.

The big difference here is head weight. We aren't just talking about over length drivers. The one Steve is building has a 175g head. I don't care if you play it 48" or 45" if you don't have the proper flex (softer) you aren't going to be able to load the shaft. The general consensus when these 175g heads popped up several years ago was you needed to go 1 if not two flexes softer. Most never did this for ego reasons or used an old pullout from a 195g head never had any success.

OTT move is no good with extra long club, so stick with it and maybe you will learn to hit a draw with your regular driver.
I used to practice with full length drivers (over 48") and it helped me get rid of my fade.

You guys worry too much. This ain't my first rodeo. If I can hit that XXIO Prime with control, I can hit this club. The individual weights of these components are pretty close to the XXIO.

Fresh DCT and 455DB poon arrived so will give them a fondle and then a shaft at some point.

At 47" the swingweight is D4. The grip is super light. I might make it 46. 5" to bring the swingweight down. Gonna hit it first.

With a light head, I’ve found you need a softer shaft, not stiffer. I think you done good, other than using low-poon components. 😃

Building a set of GI irons, 3&4h, 4w and a Driver for a friend. Went with some DTG Grand Hawk XP-R components and will be adding a Geek DCT Driver when I get it tomorrow. FST 115 Shafts for the irons, FST 90 Shafts for the hybrids and Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue Axis wood shafts. The guy is a super infrequent and not very good golfer who wants an upgrade from the irons I made him 8-10 years ago. I just put his dad into this set 4 m9nths ago and he really likes them. I will post pics of the final product when done.

P.S. A big shout out to Jason at DTG for getting an order out to me.

Just finished up the build on the set for my friend. Clubs came out nice. Built the to +3/4". The irons all came out to around D4 swing weight on the scale. I only had to add a little weight to one of them that was at D1. I probably didn't even need to do that but I felt like doing it anyway. It's a nice looking set of shovels.
