Spuzz candukid Tipped a Ventus to get 255 cpm Still tipping driver shafts? You're a beast! I will play a set of tees forward from you, in lieu of strokes.
sdandrea1 Typhoon How many heads can you do? Was it worth it? 4 at a time. Of course it was worth with it. I like to tinker. I've spent more $ on a single round of golf than that tumbler cost.
sdandrea1 Last club came in to complete my current ZING2 project. In the Tumbler now. This head might need new paint. It's a rare Lob/Sand wedge. Shaft/grip waiting.
Typhoon I put a grip on my Vizion LD shaft. Came out to 51.50”…. Which is funny because “5150” in addition to being a VanHagar album is also the code for an insane asylum. And this should be insane to hit at that length AND in “A” flex
raggmann54 Typhoon You and Bernie Baymiller (may he rest in peace) hyping the "long" driver...You could make that shaft as a short flyrod...
Typhoon sdandrea1 I thought the sw would have been 57 because the LW is 61. Well on the Eye2 the LW was 61…. IIRC didn’t the Zings have a SW1 and SW2 and then the LW? That would make sense because 54 to 61 is quite a gap. Although I go 47 to 56 on my TW irons
sdandrea1 candukid How much liquid do you put in the tumbler? I added maybe 4 oz of H2O when I first got it, a tablespoon of dish soap and recently a tablespoon of Barkeeper's Friend. I have not added any of those ingredients since I got it and it still foams up nicely.
sdandrea1 Typhoon IIRC didn’t the Zings have a SW1 and SW2 Yes. I think the 2 SW were 52 & 54. Then this Ls at 57 and the L was 60, although this site doesn't list them that way
sdandrea1 Found this on WRX 15 degrees of bounce through the iron set! I wondered why I hit these so well.🤣
Typhoon sdandrea1 so 52,57 and 61. So basically back then Ping didn’t call anything a gap wedge.. they just had 2 sandwedges
sdandrea1 Typhoon So basically back then Ping didn’t call anything a gap wedge.. they just had 2 sandwedges I don't think PING named a gap wedge (they call them "U" wedges) until the i3 irons. Their first irons with a cavity medallion (swing weight). It was multiple Sand Wedges up to then.
Typhoon raggmann54 Long and Soft….😂 I don’t bother looking at total weight or swingweight. Doesn’t matter, it’d be a mess, just fun to try. There is a point of diminishing returns on a long driver so not hitting it far won’t surprise me.
