ode played again today and continue to like the forgiveness.....after one more round and getting used to them I was centering them up moreso today then on Sunday. The few toe strikes were confirmed to be forgiving. I'll upgraded the feel to above average. I had some thinner strikes on Sunday and today there was none of that. It is playing firm and fast in NE Wisconsin....yet again another dry summer and the ground is firm. A lot of release. I will have to get these on a course that waters a bit more than my home course to see what the release is like. Preliminary signs are is I need a touch more spin. 9/13 greens on holes where I used these irons. #12 9i struck perfectly, uphill approach to a green that has false front. My goal was to land just short and the firmness would allow for a bounce up on. It landed soft and came back down difficult up and in for a bigey. Next hole again struck perfectly (par 3 - 7i) but the green is slightly perched and I landed it right into the bank and it stayed on the fringe. On 17, I hit 7i perfect nice little fade that landed and bounded over. This is the one that concerns me as this was perfectly struck and did not hold....very well could have been the firmness of the green, but 🤔🤔 And on #18 I pushed my layup just a bit too far right to have an opening to go high and I had to punch PW up there and left it just short from like 90 yards and on the fringe, easy up and down. Can't complain as 2 of the 4 were easy up and downs and 2 were tricky, got up and down on #17 killing the chip into the fringe and letting trickle past the hole to 4 feet and making the come backer.
These are more workable then the geezer irons I had in the bag in the Acer XV HT....no surprise there, but worth mentioning.
