I wouldn't be surprised if New England wins against Houston. Belichick ain't no dummy. And Houston better be expecting a lot of action from the backfield. The thing is this - they still have playmakers. They have a balanced offense. They have a lot of interchangeable parts, a lot of different schemes that could help a rookie QB with little experience.
If this was any other team - I'd already pencil them in at 2-2. But Belichick is not just another coach from another team.
Also... the Pats' 4th game is October 2nd, and because of the short week this week that gives Garoppolo another 3 days of rehab. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the starting lineup against the Bills, although as bad as the Bills are - depending on the outcome of the Houston game - Brissett might get the nod again then too, and Jimmy G would fill in should they need him.
