Rickochet I've noticed the new ones do have a lot of 'extras', but I don't need all that, esp. with the extra $$ that's goes along with them. I'm one of those anal persons that has to check everything several times. I'll be locking the overhead from inside, just for good measure, then be checking it to make sure I did it; trust no one, even myself! 😀
This door went down, then would never respond to up. Figured it was the contactor and released it with an electrical tester and it was working. Problem is, before I did that, I had pulled the cord and it was disconnected from the chain drive, and when I let it run, it was still going down(insert "dumbass" here). Needless to say, I now have it totally wrecked, jammed on the roller bearing/wheel, and the cable is tighter than a piano wire. The board is bad, so when I touched the contactor toward 'open', it doesn't work. I've got to get the tension off that cable or someone is going to be a Halloween fable, or a ship's Cap'n. Tried backing it off manually, but no go, so far.
