I'm all for the baseball netting. I was at an Astros vs Dodgers game back in '92 when a line drive pulled foul nearly took the head off of a spectator. Luckily it just missed his head and caromed around in the seating and back onto the dugout roof. There was no reaction time. It could've easily killed him.
If I was a player, I'd want that netting up. Seriously injuring someone, despite it being unintentional, is something I would desperately want to avoid at all costs. Hopefully it becomes standard in every stadium. If it saves just one person from broken bones, losing eyesight, or worse, it's worth it imo.
