Weirfan I just sold my Ping i5 irons. I bought new irons a month or more ago but haven't used them but will be forced to now. Loved the i5's and they had me playing my best in years..... Ping i5's still in the bag in Arizona though.
fatshot Weirfan The i5's were a sweet set of irons. I played some of my best golf with them, but had to sell them when I had to go to senior flex. In retrospect, I wish I had the foresight to just reshaft them and keep playing them. They still looked almost like new when I sold them!
shokosugi Lol, i have sinned too- recently replaced my i200s with a set of maltby irons. I did just buy a ping glide 3.0 eye 2 lob wedge though...
shokosugi Typhoon Maltby ts-1. Best looking iron i have ever seen. Performance is outstanding- point and shoot- more forgiving than my i200 and distance control is so consistent. These irons are for real- believe the hype!
Typhoon I know it's me but I did components in my driver before and that was fine because it was for LD competition. I could never do it with any other clubs. Just me being odd.
shokosugi Since i started building my own clubs, everything is a component, especially since i like heavy iron shafts at +1", hard to find my specs at any given moment in time
Weirfan sdandrea1 ap1's......played first round ( 9 holes) with them last night....hit some good, some bad, some ugly.....will take some time to get adjusted thats for sure ....cold temps likely didn't help. Will try and get out a few times next week
Weirfan sdandrea1 true....but need to dial in the new ones as feel, trajectory , offset etc is all different
sdandrea1 Peter, in order to realign the planets, I have put my Eye 2 irons in the bag for next week. You're covered.
