I can't help but notice that most of the mid size sole-width irons that perform well for me have some relief along the leading edge, ala Wishon 752tc, Cleveland CG wedges, etc. My PING Eye 2 irons do not and they do occasionally dig caverns in the earth when I get little steep. I have a set of Eye 2 irons that I have very little invested in, so I decided to grind some camber in the leading edge. Does this subtle of a change really make a difference? I took very little metal off. See pics.
