Wow. That's better than good. That's rarified air territory. Huge congrats.
Last summer I was privileged to witness a 29, playing with a good friend/fellow member at the club. We'd all just played and he shot 73, which was a great score considering he was hitting it everywhere. So we're up at the bar and he says, "you guys up for an emergency nine?" We'd finished early and we didn't have anywhere to be that afternoon so we said sure.
Never seen anything like it. He goes birdie, par, birdie, birdie, par, birdie, birdie, par. Then from 65 yards on the uphill par5 9th, he jars his 3rd shot in for eagle. It was incredible, he was just unconscious.
We asked him if he wanted to keep going, he looks at his watch and said, "nah, I gotta go pick the kids up from school. Besides - it can't possibly get any better, so what's the point?!" Had that been me, I would've been scrolling through my contacts to locate the babysitter.
I've seen some really good rounds over the years, but nothing like that. That was unreal.
Well done!
